Our award-winning NOC is your single point of contact throughout your Professional Installation process. Professional Installation includes up to 2-hours of onsite installation of broadband service and CPE, Cat5 cabling up to 25 feet, a router, an Ethernet Patch or Cross Over cable (approximately 6 feet), a surface mount RJ48 jack, equipment trouble-shooting, and circuit testing to confirm operability to the Demarcation Point and to the CPE.
For businesses with special needs, New Edge offers an a la carte menu of Custom Installation services, allowing you to streamline your network installation so you don't have to hire outside vendors unfamiliar with your network. This will result in reduced total expense, decreased potential for technical error, and faster network turn-up.
Used primarily for multi-site network deployments and sites with special requirements, the Custom Installation menu includes services such as additional hour(s) for onsite application testing, PC plug-in and network settings updates, onsite surveys, and in-suite wiring.
Ask your New Edge representative for more details.
Self Installation is available for Internet Access services.
The post-installation services you require will vary according to your specific environment, business applications, and future plans. Typically, customers who require remote engineering services, such as testing of LAN-side devices or router configuration changes, are forced to hire a second vendor, resulting in additional expenses and increased potential for technical error. New Edge offers a flexible way for you to customize these services to reduce costs and maximize efficiency. We call these Custom Configuration and Remote Engineering Services.

Services
Common examples of Remote Engineering Services include:
- Non-Standard Initial Router Configuration: For a per device fee, New Edge Networks technicians will configure customer premisis equipment with a custom configuration of up to ten policy statements.
- Router Configuration Changes: You can request that we remotely change the configuration of equipment on your premises, whether it's equipment owned and managed by New Edge Networks or equipment you own yourself. Customers often use this service to add static routes, renumber their IP scheme, or make other customization requests after initial service deployment.
- Firewall Management: You can request that we remotely adjust your firewall settings after initial service deployment (such as opening or forwarding a port), or that we help you develop stateful firewall policy.
- WAN/LAN Interoperability Support: You can request that we remotely test the interoperability of Local Area Network (LAN)-side applications. Customers often use this service to further triage or isolate problems once we've determined that they are not Wide Area Network (WAN) issues.
- Assurance Testing: You can request that we remotely test the configuration or performance of circuits to ensure they are performing as designed or working correctly with your applications. You may also request onsite testing by a New Edge Networks Field Engineer.
